Applies to |
All purchases from www.all-quip.co.za and All-Quip authorised agents |
|
Governing law |
Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 · ECT Act 25 of 2002 |
|
Returns address |
38 Russell Street, Ashley, Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, 3605, South Africa |
|
Contact us first. Before returning anything, contact info@all-quip.co.za or call +27 31 701 0090 (Mon–Fri 08:00–17:00). Many issues resolve without a return, and we will give you a returns reference that speeds up processing. |
Our range spans safety-critical certified equipment, hygiene-sensitive garments, custom-branded items and general workwear, so this policy addresses each category appropriately. It is designed to be fair, transparent and compliant with the CPA and the ECT Act.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under the CPA or the ECT Act. Where we offer more than the law requires, the better term applies.
If you bought online without the opportunity to inspect the product first, you may return it within 7 days of receipt for any reason, without penalty. The product must be unused and in original condition with all packaging, tags and accessories intact, and you bear the direct cost of returning it.
This right does not apply to products made to your specific requirements, products that cannot be returned for hygiene or public health reasons, or branded and embroidered products where branding was applied at your request. It does apply regardless of order size or value, including bulk orders.
You may inspect goods on delivery. If they do not match the description or specification, you may refuse them or return them at our cost.
All goods must be of good quality, free of defects and fit for their ordinary purpose for 6 months from delivery. If they are not, you choose the remedy: refund, replacement or repair. We cannot impose a different one.
Where you told us before purchase that you needed a product to meet a particular standard or site specification, and we confirmed in writing that it does, you may return it if it does not.
In addition to your statutory rights, we accept returns of eligible unbranded, unused products within 14 days of delivery, in original packaging with tags intact, for exchange or credit. Return shipping for a change-of-mind return is at your cost.

Step |
What to do |
|
1 |
Email info@all-quip.co.za with your order number, the item, and the reason. Use subject line "Returns — [Order No.]" |
|
2 |
Attach photographs where the item is damaged, defective or incorrect — see clause 5.3 |
|
3 |
We confirm eligibility and issue a returns reference, usually within 1 business day |
|
4 |
Pack the item securely in its original packaging and mark the returns reference clearly on the outside |
|
5 |
Send it to our returns address, or where we bear the cost, we arrange collection |
|
6 |
We inspect on receipt and process your refund, replacement or credit — refunds within 5 business days of inspection |
Refunds are made to the original payment method. Where the original method cannot be credited, we refund by EFT to an account in the purchaser’s name.
|
Items shipped directly by a supplier. Some unbranded items are shipped to you directly from the supplier’s warehouse. Your return rights are exactly the same. Report problems to info@all-quip.co.za, not to the supplier, and do not send goods back to the supplier — we will confirm the correct return address when we issue your returns reference. |
Where your original order qualified for free shipping (orders over R2 000 including VAT) and a change-of-mind return brings it below that threshold, we deduct the standard shipping charge that would otherwise have applied from your refund.
|
This does not apply to defective, incorrect or misdescribed goods. Where you return goods for any of those reasons, you receive a full refund with no shipping deduction, and we bear the cost of carriage in both directions. |

Where goods are defective, the choice of remedy is yours, not ours. We cannot impose a repair or a store credit where you have elected a refund.
• Photographs of the defect or damage, clearly showing the issue;
• Photographs of the product label, SKU and batch code where visible;
• Your order number and tax invoice;
• A brief written description of the problem.
Our PPE is certified to specific South African and international standards. If you need a product to meet a particular standard or a site-specific specification, tell us before you buy. We will confirm in writing whether it does. If we confirm it does and it does not, you may return it under section 55(3) of the CPA.
• Garments must be laundered strictly per the manufacturer’s care instructions. Bleach, softeners and unsuitable detergents may compromise arc-rated performance and will void a defect claim relating to arc protection.
• A garment subjected to a genuine arc flash event must be removed from service regardless of visible condition and must not be returned for credit or resale. Contact us for responsible disposal guidance and a destruction reference for your compliance records.
• Garments that have been altered — re-hemmed, patched with non-FR material, or embroidered through the arc-rated laminate in an unauthorised area — lose certification and are not eligible for returns relating to arc performance.
• ATPV ratings apply to garments in original, unmodified condition laundered within the care instructions. We cannot guarantee arc performance outside those conditions.
• Equipment that has arrested a fall must be removed from service immediately and destroyed. It is not eligible for return, resale or credit under any circumstances.
• Pre-use inspection by a competent person is mandatory before every use, in accordance with SANS 50365.
• We accept returns of equipment that fails pre-use inspection where the failure is a manufacturing defect.
• Equipment stored incorrectly — UV exposure, chemical contamination, extreme temperature — may fail inspection, but that is not a manufacturing defect and does not give rise to a return right under section 56.
Opened disposable PPE — gloves, masks, disposable coveralls — cannot be returned for change of mind once the inner seal is broken, for public health reasons. Unopened, sealed packs within the return window may be returned. Defective products remain returnable under section 56 regardless.
Try footwear on a clean indoor surface. Footwear worn outdoors cannot be returned for change of mind, but remains returnable for manufacturing defects within the warranty period.
Once production has begun, branded products cannot be cancelled or returned for change of mind. They remain returnable where the product is defective, or was produced differently to the proof you approved.
Minor embroidery placement tolerances of up to ±5 mm are within industry standard and are not a defect. Screen colours may differ slightly from physical output.
Orders of 10 or more units of the same SKU are not eligible for change-of-mind returns under our voluntary 14-day window. We recommend ordering a sample before committing to a bulk order of a new product type.
|
Your statutory rights are not affected by order size. The seven-day cooling-off right under section 44 of the ECT Act, and the six-month warranty under section 56 of the CPA, apply to bulk orders exactly as they do to single items. Clause 7.2 restricts only our voluntary window. |
Some Dromex and Barron products carry manufacturer warranties extending beyond the six-month CPA warranty. Where a defect arises after 6 months but within the manufacturer warranty period:
• Submit a claim to info@all-quip.co.za with proof of purchase, photographs and a description of the defect;
• We assess it and, where appropriate, escalate to the manufacturer on your behalf;
• The manufacturer assesses whether the defect is manufacturing-related or use-related, and that assessment determines eligibility for repair, replacement or credit.
For products from other manufacturers, that manufacturer’s warranty terms apply. We will assist with the claim but cannot guarantee the outcome of a third-party assessment.
Your statutory rights under South African law apply to international orders placed through our store. In practice, returning goods across a border is slower and more expensive than a domestic return, so please contact info@all-quip.co.za before shipping anything back — we will confirm the correct address, the documentation customs will require, and who bears which cost.
Where goods are returned because they were defective, incorrect or did not match their description, we bear the return shipping cost and, where recoverable, will assist in reclaiming import duties paid. Where goods are returned for change of mind, return shipping is at your cost and import duties already paid to the destination country are generally not recoverable.
• Fair wear and tear, and consumable components at the end of their service life;
• Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident or alteration;
• Incorrect laundering, storage or maintenance;
• Repair or alteration by anyone other than us or the manufacturer;
• Equipment that has arrested a fall, or a garment exposed to an arc event.
If you are unhappy with our response to a return or refund request, reply to your case at info@all-quip.co.za and ask for it to be escalated, quoting your case reference. We respond within 3 business days.
If that does not resolve it, you may refer the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za · 0860 000 272), the National Consumer Commission (thencc.org.za · 012 428 7000), or your provincial consumer affairs office. We cooperate fully with any investigation by these bodies.
