Governing law |
ECT Act 25 of 2002 (s46) · Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 |
|
Your statutory rights apply to every online order. Section 46 of the ECT Act obliges us to execute your order within 30 days of receipt, and if we cannot, you may cancel and receive a full refund. Nothing in this policy reduces that right. |
All-Quip dispatches orders of PPE, industrial workwear, safety footwear, and corporate and promotional products from our warehouse in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. This policy explains how we ship, how long it takes, how the cost is worked out, and what happens if something goes wrong in transit.
|
Order cut-off. Orders placed and paid before 12:00 on a business day are processed and dispatched the same day, subject to stock. Orders placed after 12:00, or on weekends and public holidays, are dispatched the next business day. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays. |
We do not operate our own delivery fleet, and we do not use a single fixed courier. Domestic orders are shipped through Shiprazor, a multi-carrier platform that selects the most suitable carrier for each shipment from a network of South African couriers, based on the destination, the parcel and the service level chosen. International orders are shipped through Tunl, which provides access to global carriers including FedEx and UPS.
This means the carrier handling your parcel is chosen per shipment. The carrier name and tracking number are included in your dispatch email.
Some unbranded supplier items are shipped directly from the supplier’s warehouse rather than from Pinetown — see clause 4.3.
Timeframes are in business days from dispatch, not from order placement, and are our best estimate based on carrier performance. They are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by weather, carrier network delays, public holidays and location accessibility.

We ship internationally through Tunl to a wide range of destination countries, including SADC markets, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and beyond. Availability, service level, transit time and total cost are calculated for your destination and shown at checkout.

Availability varies — confirmed at checkout |
Transit times are indicative only. The estimate shown at checkout for your specific destination and service level takes precedence over this table.
For most destinations we ship on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. Where your order ships DDP, the import duties and taxes for your destination are calculated and collected from you at checkout, together with the shipping charge, and are paid to the destination customs authority on your behalf.
|
Where your order ships DDP, you will not be asked to pay further import duties or taxes when the goods arrive. The total shown at checkout is the total you pay. |
Where DDP is not available for your destination or for the goods ordered, we ship Delivered At Place (DAP). In that case the checkout total covers shipping only, and import duties, taxes and customs charges are payable by the recipient before the goods are released. Checkout will tell you which basis applies to your order.
Where a destination authority levies a charge that could not be calculated at checkout — for example a country-specific inspection, quarantine or handling fee — that charge is payable by the recipient. We will tell you as soon as we become aware of one.
Where a shipment is refused, or is not cleared because the recipient does not supply information customs requires, the goods may be returned to us or abandoned at destination. In either case the outbound shipping charge and any duties already paid are not refundable, and return freight and storage are for your account. This does not affect your rights where the goods were defective or did not match their description.
|
Important for international PPE buyers. Our PPE is certified to South African standards (SANS / SABS) and, where expressly stated for a product, to international standards. A South African certification is not equivalent to, and does not confer, CE marking under EU Regulation 2016/425, UKCA marking, or ANSI/ISEA approval in the United States. If you need PPE that carries a specific destination-market approval, tell us before you order and we will confirm in writing whether the product carries it. It is the importer’s responsibility to confirm that the goods may lawfully be imported into and used in the destination country. |
Shipping is quoted live at checkout — by Shiprazor for domestic deliveries and Tunl for international deliveries — based on your delivery address, the actual and volumetric weight of your order, the parcel dimensions, and the service level you select.
Rates are calculated on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, which is standard courier practice in South Africa. Volumetric weight is length (cm) × width (cm) × height (cm) ÷ 5000. This affects bulky but light items such as hard hats, cartoned coveralls and bulk reflective vests.
The exact shipping charge, inclusive of VAT, is displayed to you at checkout before you confirm and pay. No shipping charge is incurred unless and until you place your order, and you may abandon your basket at any point before that at no cost.
Our shipping partners select the most appropriate carrier for each shipment from a network of carriers, and carrier tariffs vary by route, service level and parcel profile, and change from time to time. Quoting live means you pay the actual cost of carrying your parcel rather than an averaged published rate — and it means the price you are shown is always current.
We deliver free of charge to any address in South Africa on orders over R2 000 including VAT.
• The threshold is calculated on the order value including VAT, after any discounts applied, and excluding the shipping charge itself.
• It applies to all domestic delivery zones — metro, regional, remote and rural alike.
• It applies to domestic South African deliveries only. International orders are quoted at checkout — see clause 2.3.
• It applies to retail and trade customers alike. We do not operate a separate shipping concession for wholesale, reseller or trade account customers.
• It covers our standard delivery service. Where you select an express or same-day service on a qualifying order, you pay the difference between the standard and express rate, shown at checkout.
• It does not apply to palletised road freight, which is quoted separately under clause 3.6.
|
Returns and the free shipping threshold. Where a change-of-mind return under our voluntary 14-day window brings your order below R2 000, we deduct the standard shipping charge that would otherwise have applied from your refund. We do not do this where goods are returned because they were defective, incorrect, or not as described — in those cases you receive a full refund and we bear the cost of carriage in both directions. |
Orders exceeding 30 kg, or requiring palletised road freight — large corporate uniform orders, site PPE procurement contracts — are quoted individually rather than through checkout. Email info@all-quip.co.za with your product list, quantities and delivery address and we will provide a written freight quotation. Road freight is typically substantially more cost-effective than parcel courier at these volumes.
How quickly your order leaves us depends on where the item comes from. We fulfil orders in one of four ways, and your order confirmation tells you which applies to each line.
|
Our commitments are dispatch commitments. The timelines in this clause are the times within which we hand your order to the courier. Once dispatched, delivery depends on the courier’s network, and the transit times in clause 2 are estimates, not guarantees. |

Pinetown — clause 8 |
Bulk orders of 50 units or more, and custom or made-to-order workwear, are given a written lead time when you order — see clause 8.1.
All unbranded items held in stock at Pinetown are dispatched the same business day where the order is placed and paid before 12:00. Orders placed after 12:00, or on a weekend or public holiday, are dispatched the next business day.
• Where you choose an express or same-day courier service at checkout, delivery timing is the courier’s service commitment, not ours.
• Same-day dispatch does not apply to supplier-direct, case-lot or branded items. If your order mixes in-stock items with any of these, contact us and we will advise whether the in-stock items can be dispatched separately.
• Public holidays and the December shutdown in clause 11 apply.
|
Holding your stock locally. If you order the same items regularly, ask us about holding stock for your account at our Pinetown warehouse. Items we hold for you qualify for same-day dispatch. Contact info@all-quip.co.za. |
Where you order unbranded Barron or Kevro product that we do not hold at Pinetown, we may arrange for the supplier to ship it to you directly from its distribution centre in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. We dispatch these orders within 1–3 business days. Transit times are then calculated from Gauteng rather than KwaZulu-Natal.
• Your contract stays with All-Quip. You are invoiced by us, and all your rights under our Terms of Service, this policy and our Returns & Refund Policy apply exactly as if we had shipped the goods ourselves.
• The parcel may arrive in the supplier’s packaging, from a different carrier, without All-Quip branding. We send you the tracking details as soon as it has been dispatched.
• To arrange this, we share your name, delivery address, contact number and the order contents with the supplier. See our Privacy Policy.
• Report any damage, shortage or incorrect item to us, not to the supplier, within the notice periods in clause 9. Do not return goods to the supplier — we will tell you where to send them.
• If you would rather receive your whole order in one delivery from Pinetown, tell us when you order. This typically adds 2–3 business days.
• Branded Barron / Kevro items are never shipped supplier-direct — they come to Pinetown for branding first.
Some products — typically gloves, disposable PPE and consumables — are supplied to us only in full cases. Where you need fewer units than a full case, we order the case, collect it from Dromex or the relevant supplier, split it at Pinetown, and dispatch the quantity you ordered.
• We dispatch case-lot orders within 1–3 business days.
• We only open the outer case. Individual units stay in their original manufacturer packaging, with their labels, certification markings and batch codes intact — see clause 5.1.
• Where batch or certification information appears only on the outer case, we record the batch number on your packing slip and will send a copy of the certification on request.
• If you order in full-case multiples, we dispatch the unopened case.
Product pages reflect live stock levels. Because we source from Dromex and Kevro/Barron in addition to our own Pinetown stock, occasional discrepancies can occur. If an item is out of stock or has a longer lead time than displayed, we will notify you by email within 1 business day, give you an estimated restocking date or offer an alternative, and let you choose to wait, substitute, or cancel for a full refund.
ECT Act s46(3): where goods are unavailable we must notify you immediately and refund any payment within 30 days of that notification. We aim to refund within 5 business days.
• An order confirmation email immediately on placing your order.
• A dispatch notification with the carrier name and tracking number once your parcel is collected — typically within 1 business day for stock items.
• For supplier-direct orders, a dispatch notification with tracking once the supplier has shipped.
• Tracking updates by email and, where you have given a mobile number, by SMS from the carrier.
In terms of section 46(1) of the ECT Act we undertake to execute every order within 30 days of receiving payment, unless a longer lead time has been agreed with you in writing — which we do for branded, custom and special orders, and which is recorded in the written lead time confirmed at order. If we cannot meet the agreed period, you may cancel on 7 days’ written notice to info@all-quip.co.za and receive a full refund within 15 business days.
• Garments and soft goods — folded and sealed in polybags, then boxed or bagged depending on order size.
• Safety footwear — original manufacturer box, in a secondary outer carton for orders of two pairs or more.
• Hard goods — helmets, harnesses, first aid kits: original manufacturer packaging plus outer carton with void fill.
• Branded garments — individually bagged after branding and packed in size-labelled sets to simplify distribution to your team.
• Pallet shipments — stretch-wrapped, corner-protected, with a packing list attached externally. A detailed manifest is provided for orders of 50 units or more.
SABS-marked and certified PPE — arc flash garments, fall arrest systems, certified helmets, respiratory equipment — ships in its original manufacturer-sealed packaging. We do not repackage it, because the original packaging carries the certification labels, care instructions and serial numbers you need for your compliance records.
Where we split a case lot under clause 4.4, we open the outer shipping case only. Unit-level packaging on certified PPE is never opened.
|
Inspect certified PPE packaging on delivery. If the original sealed packaging of any certified PPE arrives damaged or tampered with, refuse delivery or note the damage on the waybill, and contact us within 24 hours. Damaged packaging may compromise the certification documentation inside. Do not use the product until you have confirmed that documentation is intact. |
All shipments are tracked. Your dispatch email contains the carrier name and tracking number. Because the carrier is selected per shipment, always use the tracking link in that email rather than assuming a particular carrier’s website.

Event |
When to expect it |
|
Collected from All-Quip |
Same day as dispatch, typically 13:00–16:00 |
|
In transit — hub scan |
Within a few hours of collection for Durban and metro orders; overnight for regional |
|
Out for delivery |
Morning of the delivery day |
|
Delivered — proof of delivery captured |
On delivery; POD generally uploaded within 2 hours |
|
Delivery attempted — failed |
Same day as the attempt, with redelivery options |
A delivery fails if nobody is available to receive and sign, the address is inaccessible or incorrect, or the recipient refuses delivery. The carrier will usually attempt again the next business day. After two failed attempts the parcel is held at the nearest depot for 5 business days while we contact you to arrange redelivery.
Where redelivery is required because nobody was available to receive the parcel, any redelivery charge levied by the carrier is passed through to you at cost, and we will tell you the amount before arranging it. If the parcel is not collected or redelivery is not arranged within 5 business days of the last attempt, it is returned to us and you are refunded the product value less the original and return shipping costs.
You are responsible for giving us a correct and complete delivery address. We dispatch to the address provided and cannot be held liable for failed or delayed delivery caused by an incorrect or incomplete address.
If you realise the address is wrong, email info@all-quip.co.za immediately. We can redirect before the parcel is collected. Once collected, redirection is subject to a carrier redirection charge, passed through to you at cost, and we will confirm the amount before proceeding.
• For construction sites, mines and industrial sites: give the site name, address, and the name and number of the person who will receive and sign.
• For premises with security gates or access control: give access instructions or a security contact number in the order notes.
• For a specific delivery window — before a shift change, for example — contact us before ordering so we can confirm feasibility.
• We cannot guarantee time-of-day delivery on standard shipments. Express services offer the closest to a time commitment.
Couriers cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. If you do not have a physical delivery address, select a pickup point at checkout where one is offered, or contact us to arrange one.
For orders requiring delivery to multiple addresses — outfitting several branches, for example — contact us before ordering. Each address carries its own shipping charge. We offer discounted split-delivery rates for orders going to three or more addresses.
Every branded order follows the same four steps. Branding lead times are counted from the day you approve your proof in writing — not from the day you place your order.

Lead time in the table below, counted from your approval |
|
The clock starts at your approval. Delays in supplying artwork or approving a proof extend the delivery date day for day. For customers without a trade account, production starts once the proof is approved and payment has been received. Blank stock. Where the garments or items to be branded must first be ordered from a supplier, that sourcing time is added to the lead time. We confirm the total, and your expected dispatch date, in writing with your proof. That confirmed lead time is the written agreement contemplated by section 46 of the ECT Act. Approval is binding. We produce exactly what the approved proof shows. Please check spelling, names, colours and placement carefully before approving. |

Rush production depends on capacity at the time of order. We confirm rush availability and the applicable surcharge before processing.
Custom workwear — manufactured to a colour, fabric, cut or specification not held in standard stock — follows this sequence: written specification sign-off; fabric sourcing (3–7 business days); manufacture and finishing (10–20 business days); branding where required (3–7 business days); quality check and dispatch (1–2 business days). Total lead times are typically 15 to 30 business days.
We confirm a written lead time commitment before you are required to pay. No deposit is non-refundable if we fail to deliver within the confirmed lead time.
We take responsibility for goods until they are delivered to and accepted at your address. Risk passes to you on delivery and acceptance, evidenced by signature or confirmed proof of delivery.
• Note the damage on the waybill before signing. If the driver will not allow this, write "damaged — contents to be checked" on the proof of delivery.
• Photograph the damaged packaging and, once opened, the damaged contents.
• Report to info@all-quip.co.za within 24 hours with photographs and your order number.
• We lodge the carrier claim and arrange replacement or refund at no cost to you. Keep the damaged packaging — the carrier may need it.
Concealed damage that could not reasonably have been seen on delivery should be reported within 5 business days.
A parcel is treated as potentially lost if it has not arrived within 5 business days past the estimated delivery date and tracking shows no movement for 3 or more business days. Contact info@all-quip.co.za and we will lodge a trace immediately. Traces typically resolve within 3–5 business days.
Once a parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will dispatch a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice — within 5 business days of that confirmation. We do not wait for our own claim against the carrier to be settled before putting you right.
Every shipment carries the selected carrier’s standard liability cover. Because the carrier is selected per shipment, the standard limit varies. For high-value orders — large arc flash garment orders, bulk safety footwear, fall arrest systems — we strongly recommend declaring additional cover. Contact us before placing a high-value order and we will arrange extended cover at a nominal charge.
We are not liable for consequential losses arising from carrier delays — including losses from employees not having required PPE, production downtime, or missed deadlines — where the delay is caused by the carrier or by circumstances beyond our control. For time-critical PPE requirements, order well in advance and select an express service.
Harnesses, lanyards and hardware ship in original manufacturer packaging with the inspection record intact. On delivery, inspect the packaging for tampering or crushing, and before placing the equipment into service conduct a pre-use inspection in accordance with SANS 50365 and your organisation’s safety procedures. If any component is bent, cracked or shows impact damage, do not use it — report to us within 24 hours.
Dromex arc flash and FR garments ship in sealed original packaging including the certification label, ATPV rating card and wash-care instructions. Keep the certification documentation — you need it for your OHS compliance records. Do not discard the original packaging until those documents are filed.
Respirators, cartridges and filters ship in sealed original packaging. Cartridges and filters begin degrading once the inner seal is broken. Do not open until ready for use. Inspect the seal on delivery and report any moisture ingress, crushing or seal damage before opening.
Ships in the original manufacturer box. Try footwear on a clean indoor surface before wearing outdoors — worn footwear cannot be returned except for manufacturing defects. See the Returns & Refund Policy.
Some products — certain chemical cartridges and pressurised respirator components — are subject to transport regulations. We comply with those regulations and will advise at checkout if any item in your order has special shipping requirements. Affected products may not be available for express or air services and may require road freight.
Orders are not dispatched on South African public holidays. Each public holiday typically adds one business day to dispatch and delivery timelines; Christmas Day and the Day of Goodwill typically add one to two days because of peak carrier volumes.
We observe a partial warehouse shutdown from 24 December to 2 January inclusive. Orders placed in that period are processed from 3 January. Place December orders before 18 December for pre-Christmas delivery. If you have an urgent December requirement, contact us by 15 December.
Carrier networks are capacity-constrained in November–December, over Easter, and in the January school-start period. Standard timeframes may extend by 1–2 business days. We communicate known delays proactively. For time-critical orders in peak periods, select an express service.
